My last kitesurfing session was one that still stays with me today (granted it was but a mere few days prior) and has many lessons that I gleamed from it. Winter is coming and I have this sense of urgency to make sure that I get out every time that the wind is going to be good as it brings in some bigger waves. Living on the Great lakes isn’t known for great surf but it is definitely there. Living in Northern Ontario isn’t known for being what you would call a business mecca either…but there are wonderful people who know how to use effectively what is here. Being out on the water taught me a few lessons of humility as I was definitely ill prepared for how big it can get. Often I find that when I am learning the ropes of this business, I seem to falter more than I succeed. Every experience is exactly that…a learning experience. Rejection is a huge part of the game as most simply can’t be bothered. The trick that I am learning, or at least attempting to learn, is to not take it personal. Far easier said than done though, as it can be quite easy to feel defeated. I want to be successful in all encounters and I am learning the cold hard truth that this is not the case for that. I have to find that balance to separate myself emotionally from the outcome but not so detached that people get the sense that I don’t care (I do care). I get humbled far more than the limited success that I have had, but the success is so rewarding. The knowledge of knowing that people can live healthier and wealthier lives is what I am striving for. Showing people that you don’t have to live paycheque to paycheque is what this business is all about. There are more millionaires made through multi level marketing than any other business in the world. The people that make the huge incomes learned to make relationships with people and taught them the same as well. I am learning that it is far better to listen to people than do all the talking. I get to see their perspectives and what they are looking for in life. I know that for myself I am looking for 3 simple things…

1. I want to make more money and have the ability to make it no matter where I am
2. I want to have flexibly work hours so that I can do the things that I want, when I want
3. I want more time off to travel, be with the ones that I love and see the world

I am pretty sure that is what all people want and all three of these things can be achieved by what I am doing. Granted it will take time, but it is worth it! I absolutely love what I am doing and have the long term vision to see that it is there for the taking!

Nothing is better than having a hot cup of coffee and a few free moments to collect my thoughts. It has been a very interesting week to say the least but it has been fruitful. Got out a lot of samples and was able to share the Zeal vibe with a lot of cool people. Business cards handed out and people that I now have to make sure that I follow up on. If you like people, than MLM is for you. Getting to stop and just talk with wonderful people and have those moments of connection are quite rewarding. Listening to them and being able to share how good Zeal is and how they too can have their own business is fun to do. Granted most people aren’t in the right mindset to take on the challenge but they are definitely paying attention to see how well I am going to be doing! It’s funny because I think of what Michel Pensivy (a 300grand+ Zeal earner) said about how he loves to show people 6months to a year after where they would be today! All that time that they did nothing could have been the difference between having a better financial position than where they are today. It keeps me motivated to be push on and know that the financial rewards are coming. I am in this for the long haul and absolutely love it. The knowledge of knowing that I am helping people to live healthier lives but also showing them a way to living wealthier lives is simply awesome.

Here was a Zurvita day for me yesterday….I have been watching the weather forecast for the past week and saw that Providence Bay on Manitoulin was going to have huge winds and bigger waves! I set up to the call to head out for some kitesurfing fun in probably the biggest day of the year. Gear packed, boards loaded and I set off to met a good friend at Timmies for the dawn patrol session. What now is different is that I bring Zeal wellness with me and business cards. Zeal is now part of what I do and even when setting out to have an Epic day on the water, I see chances to further my business. I tell the crew, “welcome to my office”, while standing on the beach watching head high waves crashing onto the shore. That right there is why I have decided to make this my future career…the fact that I can live a life that I want and use that to grow my income. I cannot understand why anyone wouldn’t want that type of freedom in their lives…I guess some just need the grind of a 9to5’er to grow someone else’s business instead of their own! Welcome to my office…

Life is all about the highs and the lows. The good times and the moments that we struggle through. MLM is exactly that… highs and lows, success and failures. It is easy to be excited when things have promise and all seems to be going better than planned. What happens when the wheels start to fall off? Do we rise up and fix the problems or rather just burn out with it? My journey (still in it’s infancy) has been more lows than highs. People seem to have some issues with this business concept that is all routed in some misconceptions. We sabotage our futures because we don’t understand the process of growth….we want instant success. I have to remind myself daily not to fall into the trap of waiting for that big break, but rather create the opportunities for success. Nothing beats simply putting our nose to the grind stone and getting the job done. Nothing is given but rather has to be earned….here’s to reaping what the future holds!

The best piece of advice that I have recieved in the past few days is just be yourself. To often I find that I want to win people over to Zeal when I need to take myself out of the process. It is not my job to convert the masses, it’s my job to place the right tools available into the right hands. It can be quite frustrating trying to educate others by yourself when we don’t have to do it that way. I have been programed with 20 years of service as a Paramedic to take control of my environment. It is counter intuitive to allow something else to have that control while I wait to see the outcome. Just this morning I was presented with two people that I was able to get some samples into their hands. One guy was super receptive and wanted to know where he could get some more. I explained the auto-ship program that provides the canister right to his door, the 15% loyalty program and the additonal 12 sample bottles that are included. I will follow through getting him on the 877 number to get him all the information that he needs about the product and opportunity to make extra money. The second person was receptive about the sample but the whole money commitment seemed to be a stumbling block right out of the gate. My old self wanted to address her concerns and win her over to why this is such a great deal. The new me saw that I had one person who showed great potiental and that was were I need to focus my energy. Will I follow through with the second person…. you bet I will, BUT I will take my time with her as not to scare her away. I can than be free to follow through with the first guy and get the heavy hitters on my upline into the process with their wealth of experience. If person number two expresses more concerns on my follow up than at least I have my foot in the door to get her whatever she needs to see the opportunity before her. The thing is Rome wasn’t built in a day nor can I expect all people to be receptive in the first encounters. Lessons being learnt….

“We all have residual bills, why not have residual income…” It was perhaps the best training statement that I have ever heard and one that should peak everyone’s interest. Bills and debt are all things that we share together and can be some of the biggest hurdles to overcome. Residual income is money that is paid no matter what you are doing….Eat make money! Sleep, your making money. Family time, your still generating that income that takes care of all those residual bills. The  Zeal event in Sudbury had two Ambassadors who have successful made that transition into life changing residual income (Michel Pensivy and Cliff Anders). The training that they provided to show the simple process in finding people who want to make money and the ways to become a leader in your company, was simply amazing. The fact that you don’t have to be a gifted speaker, the most charismatic individual, or rather a salesman, means that this is for everyone. Spark their interest and get them to call the 877 number that does all the technical work. As simple as that to get the message across. The real work comes in being a leader in your company and making sure that your legs are growing. Michel quote of “Learn from the mistakes of others as you won’t live long enough to make them all yourself.”, made me realize that my approach was all wrong. I was making the process too complicated and it isn’t attractive to others. Simple sells, as we all like the easy approach and Zurvita has provided the tools to make my job so much easier. I am excited to implement this whole new system to grow my residual income and all those who come onboard this wild ride with me. On my way to Ambassador and the future looks bright for sure.

I created this blog to document my first steps into the world of MLM (multi-level marketing) and the company Zurvita. My goal is to have regular posts that will highlight what I find that has worked and what hasn’t with the hopes that we all can learn something together. I was first introduced to this wonderful company 6 months ago by trying a sample of the Zeal wellness blend. I instantly like what I felt but had so many misconceptions about MLM and these health/nutrition groups that I was not interested at all. A small purchase of a canister (30 day servings) and I was hooked. To be honest, I still had no desire to sell the stuff or even enter the auto ship program. Months passed enjoying the benifits of increased energy and more mental clarity that I thought it was time to get off it to see if I was just having a placebo effect. 30 days later I felt like something was missing and went back to the Zeal. That surge of energy and the overall good feeling was back. That was it, I was sold completely on this company and knew that I wanted to get involved. Being a newbie to the world of sales can be quite daunting to say the least. It’s the first thing that I hear from people when I present to them the idea that they to can do this. It usually stems to the comment that they hate bugging people and that it is way out of their comfort zone. The thing is when you are passionate about something, it isn’t hard to tell others about it. I noticed that I was promoting Zeal from the begining as I was handing it out for other people to try…. it is nothing different than I am doing now but that I make money in the process. The feedback has been good, sales have started and I am getting people that are starting to express an interest in wanting to make some serious money.
